District Governor Pat Peters shared her vision at our September 12th meeting. A large part of that vision is promoting mental health.
Among other things she discussed, was the District 5790 Mental Health First Aid Class for Rotarians on October 9th and October 17th.
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses.
A book is provided as part of the course. Registrations must be received a week prior to the event in order to allow time for delivery.
This is a two-part course. The first zoom meeting will be held on Oct 9, 2023, while the second will be held on Oct 17. Both meetings will run from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Applicants must attend both sessions to qualify for their certificates.
