RotaryRev. Liz Talbert was the Rotarian of the Day, and she brought a Lynn Seman, who belongs to the organization, Texas Master Naturalist. They were organized in 1977, and are sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas ArgiLife Extension Agency. There are 48 chapters across the state. Their mission is to inform volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and areas in the state. Some of their projects are the Texas Quail Study, Monarch Tagging, Texas Horned Lizard Surveys, Lake Arrowhead State Parks events, the River Bend Nature Center / Wild Bird Rescue Events, and iNaturalist Field Research / Citizen Scientists.

Lynn brought the resident tarantula, Eleanor, to visit us, as well. Texas Brown Tarantulas are harmless to humans, and love to eat bugs. Liz is holding Eleanor in the picture!
